Hit Trophy Can Help You Reward Creativity In Any Field
Creativity.

Many people lack this trait; therefore, people who have a creative mind have become a very valuable asset across our society. In every career field, whether it is education, business, or entertainment, those people with creative minds have changed their professions through innovative ideas that spring from those imaginative minds.

Robinson Raves Creativity Is Needed In Schools

Take for example Sir Ken Robinson. A British educator, speaker, and international advisor, he has authored nearly a dozen books over the past four decades urging world leaders and instructors to change how children are taught in our schools. In a recent New York Times article, Robinson suggests we need less testing and more creative partnerships between schools, families, and the private sector. Much of his writing argues that teachers and administrators need more freedom in the classroom to challenge students to have original ideas. Describing the goal of teaching, he recently wrote, “Creativity is the process of having original ideas that have value. It is a process; it’s not random.”

Another original thinker, Carly Fiorina, turned the business world upside down by becoming the first woman CEO at a FORTUNE 20 company, Hewlett Packer. Fiorina’s gender never stopped her as she worked her way through the business word, first at AT&T, then at Lucent, and finally to HP. “When you challenge other people’s ideas of who or how you should be, they may try to diminish and disgrace you,” she wrote of the experience. “You can spend a lifetime resenting the tests, angry about the slights and the injustices. Or, you can rise above it.” Fiorina led HP from a company with 110,000 employees to a company with 150,000 employees. Due to her “thinking outside of the box”, Matthew Boyd of Fortune Magazine claims Fiorina “didn’t just break the glass ceiling, she obliterated it.”

Williams Changes The World Via Improvisational Skills

Finally, one of the most creative minds in the entertainment field belonged to Robin Williams. Williams amazed people as an improvisational, stand-up comedian in the 1970’s and beyond. His ability to move from one idea to another in seconds made even his fellow comedians awestruck. As his career transitioned into television and films, his true genius was recognized and awarded. Williams won the 1997 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in “Good Will Hunting.” He also received two Emmy Awards, seven Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and four Grammy Awards throughout his career. Because of his innovative comedy, Williams came to influence the lives of thousands of others. For example, Williams teamed up with Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Crystal to found Comic Relief USA. He also performed on the USO circuit, and he made benefit appearances to support literacy and women’s rights. Williams and his second wife Marsha founded a philanthropic organization called the Windfall Foundation to raise money for many charities. Besides entertaining millions of people, his imaginative ideas helped thousands of others. As he told one reporter, “No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.”
