The month of February is typically known primarily for hearts, hugs, kisses, roses, and boxed chocolate. Not to take away the importance of Valentine’s day to those that look forward to it all year; however, this year it has to share the spotlight with what to some is perhaps an even more celebratory occasion…Super Bowl XLVI.
Each year Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11th and this federal holiday is used to honor all military veterans. It doesn’t matter what branch of the Armed Forces that you’re from, as long as a person has dedicated time and service to this country then this day is used to celebrate everything that he or she has given to America. Unfortunately there are those who have given their lives for the better of not only our country, but also others. We here at Hit Trophy solute all veterans and we know that we offer nothing that can truly, fully recognize veterans for what they have done, but we do hope that some of our military awards and patriotic gifts do bring a smile to our soldiers.
For most men out there, when they think of October they instinctively think of Football season or other fall activities that may be going on. Love and romance clearly isn’t the first thing that comes to their minds and that may be why so many men found themselves in trouble this past weekend. Trouble you ask? If you are from the male population, then you should have done something for your significant other this past weekend because it was Sweetest Day. Can you remember what you did in September of 2001? Obviously everyone remembers the tragic events of September 11th, 2001. If you’re a sports fan then perhaps you remember Michael Jordan making an announcement stating that he would come out of retirement to play for the Washington Wizards. Chances are that other than those two major stories you probably don’t remember much about September 2001, unless you happened to get married that month or had a baby that month. Here at Hit Trophy we also almost forgot a major day for our business that happened in the month of September, 2001. 10 Years ago today www.HitTrophy.com was born.
We know that it’s hard to believe, but the month of October is almost here. While we love Halloween and all of the candy that goes along with it, we’ve starting eyeing an even bigger and more meaningful holiday that comes at the end of the year. Yes, we’ve been thinking about Christmas and chances are that at some point you have too!
While we’ve taken most of the summer off from posting new articles on our blog, that doesn’t mean that we haven’t been working hard at Hit Trophy and HitTrophy.com to make our customer’s experience easier and more enjoyable. At Hit Trophy we’re always looking for things that are new to our industry, but we’re even more interested in things that are just a little different than the average plaque or trophy. This past Saturday, June 11th Ruler on Ice pulled off one of the most spectacular upsets in recent horse racing memory. The three year old Gelding horse was a 24-1 underdog, but in the he slushed through the final quarter mile of the race to pull of an amazing victory.
It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to run a successful business or a successful sports team, in either situation you’re going to need good teamwork to reach the goals that you have set.
